I and other members of the Ladies' Committee, extend a warm welcome to Towneley Golf Club Ladies' Section.

We have a well deserved reputation for an outstandingly beautiful and well maintained parkland course, thanks to our amazing green staff team.

We have a packed fixture list for 2023 and our competitions are played on Sunday mornings. There are also Tuesday competitions for the men and ladies.

Several Open competitions have been planned for this year, a 4 ladies team in May, a ladies open charity event in June, an Open Mixed Turkey Shoot and a 3 ladies waltz in October.

Our Ladies' Section are very friendly and supportive and offer a warm welcome to new members and aim to be inclusive and encouraging.

A team has been entered into the LLCGA Handicap Shield and we have been drawn with Bury, Harwood, Turton and Pleasington. We play against each team at home and away. Our visitors are welcomed and we look forward to playing away at their courses.

There is a good social side to our Ladies' section as the photographs below show and we plan an away day every year which the ladies really enjoy. Last year we visited Hollins Hall Golf Club and the day was really enjoyable and the staff there we so helpful and made our day special.

Some of our ladies have joined the Burnley Leisure "bolt on" facility which means a small amount paid on top of the green fees allows us to have use of all the facilities of Burnley Leisure, including swimming, gym and classes.

The Bistro 197 provides an excellent food and drink service situated in our clubhouse and Ben and Dave in the professional shop are always very helpful.
